Monkeybiz | contemporary bead art

Monkeybiz create contemporary beaded artworks inspired by a traditional African craft that was facing obscurity. The beadwork is performed by a community of 450 women in the Khayelitsha township near Cape Town. Monkeybiz is available in Australia through emily ziz style studio.

The fair trade project enhances economic stability and empowerment in the township settlement. Creating employment, training individuals, educating and feeding the wider community. Each piece of Monkeybiz bead art is unique and one-of-a-kind. Monkeybiz comes in a standard range of sizes for each of the product types shown below.

emily ziz style studio has collaborated on uniquely Australian pieces of art through the Monkeybiz project, including a vegemite jar which was commissioned by the organisers of the recent decoration and design exhibition held in Melbourne and showcased on their feature exhibition stand. Special commissions including corporate brands and logos are available upon request.
